What We Learned in 2019

As we turn our calendars to 2020, it's important to reflect on everything we accomplished here at Profit Trends in the past year.

In case you didn't notice, we covered quite a bit of ground...

Chief Trends Strategist Matthew Carr worked tirelessly to cover the ever-changing world of marijuana, CBD, vaping, legislative efforts, and mergers and acquisitions.

And it was a landmark year for U.S. cannabis - despite the ongoing bear market.

Back in March, the Secure and Fair Enforcement (SAFE) Banking Act made history by passing the House Financial Services Committee. And in September, the act passed in the House.

To top it all off, the Marijuana Opportunity Reinvestment and Expungement (MORE) Act cleared the House Judiciary Committee in November, taking us one step closer to ending prohibition!

We'll certainly be tracking these legislative efforts closely in 2020. As well as keeping an eye out for other transformative political measures.

In addition to the marijuana industry, Matthew kept us up to date on the precious metals resurgence, seasonal trading hacks, e-commerce domination and time-tested investment strategies.

On the other side of our business, Energy and Infrastructure Strategist David Fessler was all about renewable energy.

He kept us in the loop every week on wind farms, solar panels, battery storage, electric cars and the country's road to clean energy.

And of course, both Matthew and Dave were homed in on the most exciting - and disruptive - trend of the next decade: 5G.

The fifth-generation network is imperative for all those futuristic gadgets we've patiently waited for: autonomous vehicles, the Internet of Things, robots and more.

While Matthew was tracking the top 10 5G patent holders around the world, Dave was studying up on the Federal Communications Commission's "5G FAST" Plan.

And that's just the beginning...

Our stories certainly ran the gamut in 2019. But there are many more trending industries and companies that will demand our attention in 2020.

Thankfully, you won't miss a thing.

From everyone here at Profit Trends, we wish you and yours health, wealth and happiness in 2020.

Thank you for being part of our community.

Sincerely,

Rebecca
