I listed it on eBay a day later for $600 and it sold within 24 hours! Don't believe me? Check this out! 2. I found this gem in another batch of books leftover from a library sale. This book was an ex-library book which is typically not that sought after but was so rare that it was just about one of the only copies available that could be found at the time! It was My Life in Ballet by Leonide Massine. I sold that one for $200!
3. Have you ever heard of the author Erle Stanley Gardner? I hadn't until I made almost $1,000 off of a set of his books. In this scenario, I had put in a wanted ad on Craigslist for books. Luckily, a nice, little old lady called me and said that she had some old books that she'd like to get rid of because they were collecting dust. I went over there and found the almost entire set of the Walter Black edition set of Erle Stanley Gardner books. At the time, I didn't know the worth of these until I took them back and started to do some research. I still have some of these to this day, but I just tallied up all the sales from just that one set I bought from that old lady for $100, I have almost $1000 from sales of books like The D.A.
