| This Could Be One Way to Trade IPOs | | IPOs, or initial public offerings, can make dreams come true. That's often the case of early investors in a company that delivers a hot IPO. It could be the case for the early employees of a company like that. Maybe some individual investors believe it could be the way to make their dreams come true. However, that doesn't happen very often for individual investors. Many IPOs suffer declines after they begin trading and there are examples, as we explain in our latest article, of declines that have lasted for years, destroying both dreams and wealth at the same time.
As we explain in the article, there are some investors who do stumble onto great fortunes and it could be possible to profit with that strategy. In the case of Zoom, a teleconferencing company that went public last week, some investors made up 9,900% from the time the company announced plans for its IPO before the stock even began trading.
We look at the history of this kind of trade which dates back several decades and also how similar trades are made in the crypto markets. Crypto trades were documented in a recent study and this study along with the older study on the stock market hold important lessons for investors.
We have details on the studies and how these trades work in our latest free educational article which is available right here.
