The Sadness of this Place

The Sadness of this Place

Gallup’s annual Global State of Emotions report is out. Seems the world is becoming a more miserable place. This is unsurprising, considering we’re in the tail end of the 70-year Globe Buster (the second iteration of the 35-year Geopolitical Cycle), which Harry spoke about last week. He talked more about in on Monday, when considering the horrific New Zealand and Sri Lanka attacks.

Remember, his research shows that every second cycle is way more impactful, like a wave building on top of another wave.

But, as Harry pointed out on March 18, the unhappier we are, the more productive we are. Misery is a fine motivator.

From the looks of the data, home owners and real estate investors face misery in the near future. As Harry wrote on Wednesday, mortgage trouble is brewing in cities that do not have property bubbles. This is deeply concerning. Yesterday, he shared with you details of those cities that DO have real estate bubbles. Prices are simply unaffordable.

Rodney joined the conversation on Thursday, pointing to the demographic forces that could raise the property market to the ground.

Keep reading. We’ll stay on top of this trouble trend.

#IPOs In Peak Digital Advertising

Digital advertising is supposed to be the fuel of the future, funding new companies (#IPOs) that provide us with services we never knew we wanted – Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, etc. – while tearing away at our privacy. But there's a problem. Digital advertising is annoying users, and starting to creep us out. I don't want...

The Link Between the New Zealand and Sri Lanka Tragedies

Last Wednesday, I wrote to you about the 70-year Globe Buster – the second iteration of the 35-year Geopolitical Cycle that brings with it chaos and global agony during its negative turn. And man! This cycle has truly been brutal. 9/11. Civil wars. The Arab Spring. Mass shootings. White supremacist terror attacks. In fact, more...

Look East for the Next Great Opportunity

I'm travelling to Australia on Sunday for my third six-city tour in 14 months. I've been looking at the countries near them that they export to… and it just keeps reminding me that the biggest opportunity that will come out of the big crash ahead – when the Dark Window slams shut – is going...
