I met a meteorologist from the National Weather Service the other day. During our brief chat, he mentioned that the weather reports we get from our trusted sources, like breakfast shows or even Weather.com aren’t unbiased. They all get the same data from the National Weather Service. But it’s entirely up to the presenter, show, or platform what information they choose to share with us, their viewers. And… You guessed it! They always share the story that gets the most eyeballs. Said another way, they don’t share all the information. Only what is the most sensationalist. I was shocked to learn this. But not surprised. It’s the way Main Stream is these days. It’s no longer about reporting the news. It’s about supporting a hidden (or even blatant) agenda. It’s why I don’t trust them anymore. I’d much rather listen to men like John Del Vecchio. A long-time colleague, he’s a Forensic Accountant who enjoys just three things in life: his family, good food, and scouring company balance sheets to uncover the dead bodies AND find the hidden treasures. The work he does is incredible… and done far less frequently than it should be. The system he’s created over decades in the field, to help him discard hundreds of bad eggs quickly, is mind blowing. I mean, I’m tech challenged, but even my tech savvy colleagues find John’s system impressive!
