Image Source: Money Journals The market closed in the red on Tuesday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average and the S&P 500 falling .3%, and the Nasdaq Composite dipping .4%.    Today the Senate Minority Leader attempted to push legislation that would bolster stimulus checks from $600 to $2,000. That move was blocked by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (more on this, and the president's words for Senators, below).    Overall, though, the averages are all up for the year overall, despite the raging pandemic that is continuing to infect a minimum of 184,000 new Americans every day.    "The viral resurgence has induced lockdown measures throughout the country, stunting economic reopening efforts," said Glenmede CIO Jason Pride.   Investors are also looking ahead to the potential outcome of the Senate runoffs. "Also, get rid of Section 230 - Don't let Big Tech steal our Country, and don't let the Democrats steal the Presidential Election. Get tough!"   Though Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell did reiterate the issues that Trump had wanted Congress to address, it remained unclear if and when McConnell would deal with the bigger checks.    When Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer sought unanimous approval of the $2,000 payments, McConnell blocked it. This move triggered delays in a different vote to override the presidential veto of the defense spending bill.    What can we expect as we move forward?
