Thus far, all three major averages are poised to post gains for 2020, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average increasing 7%, the S&P 500 climbing 15.8%, and the Nasdaq Composite roaring 43.7% ahead for the year.   Today's progress followed word that the U.K. approved another vaccine to be used in its fight against the virus and continued talks about stimulus checks in Congress.    "While we're happy with the stimulus that we have thus far, it's likely that we're going to need additional stimulus because the rising [virus] cases will likely lead to more regional lockdowns after the holidays," Verdence Capital Advisors Director of Portfolio Strategy Megan Horneman said. Now it is up to the states to administer. Get moving!"   So far, only 2.1 million people have gotten their first shots, according to the latest data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
