Next week will be full of economic data for investors to sort through, as we close out a month that has seen huge gains for the Dow and the S&P 500.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed almost 13% this month, and if it remains strong by session's close on Monday, this will be the best month for the index since 1987. Meanwhile the S&P 500 had risen over 11%.
"The theme in the market right now is definitely hope and optimism versus the on the ground dynamic with [the virus]," said Gregory Faranello of AmeriVet Securities. "The real question is can the vaccine rally hold up if we see the virus rise and we continue to see shutdowns. How does the market perform in light of that?"
