WeWork is barely in the infancy stages of its company lifecycle, but it already has a fascinating story.

As you'll see below, today's latest developments could lead to a profitable investment opportunity.

So here's the scoop...

WeWork is a commercial real estate company that provides flexible, shared workspaces for technology startups and other entrepreneurs and businesses.

WeWork Front

Founded in 2010, it was way ahead of the remote work trend.

Realizing that people didn't necessarily need to go into an office anymore to efficiently work, WeWork rapidly grew and now has 45 million square feet of office space.

All you need to do is pay a membership fee and you'll have access to its state-of-the-art work and business facilities.

Check out the kitchen area at a WeWork space in New York (note the Ping-Pong table in the background).

WeWork Space

Looks amazing, right? Heck, I'd go set up my laptop and make trades from that space!

Based on this rapid growth, the company filed to go public in 2019, and that's where the wheels fell off...

After WeWork released its public prospectus in August 2019, The Wall Street Journal noted that the company was "besieged with criticism over its governance, business model and ability to turn a profit."

Investors realized that the company lost more than $2 billion in 2018.

By September 2019, co-founder Adam Neumann resigned from his position as CEO, and the company withdrew its S-1 filing and postponed its IPO.

Prior to this failed IPO, WeWork was about to be valued at $47 billion.

But now things have changed, which could lead to a big opportunity.

Action Plan: Thanks to the new special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) craze, WeWork is about to go public via BowX Acquisition Corp. (Nasdaq: BOWX).

WeWork's new valuation? $9 billion.

To me, this could create a value play since the company cleaned up its act and is now projecting $2 billion in profits by 2024. This entire fiasco just might offer you a way to buy WeWork for an 80% discount to what it was going to price for just a few short years ago. Keep BowX Acquisition Corp. in play in the weeks and months ahead.

Yours in smart speculation,
