The list of Republicans abandoning President Trump is growing. Senate Majority Leader Mith McConnell is now supporting House Democrats' efforts to impeach Trump again.
According to inside sources, McConnell is "done and furious" with Trump after the Capitol storming during Congress's joint session last week.
However, in public, no one is sure how McConnell would actually vote in a Senate impeachment trial. But sources claim that McConnell doesn't see this impeachment as a partisan move, unlike the first one.
While McConnell's feelings on the matter are just speculation at the moment, it should be noted that McConnel's wife resigned as the Transportation Secretary shortly after the DC chaos.
If Mitch is genuinely ready to rid the GOP of Trump, there's a good chance that other Republicans are prepared to fall in line and support the effort.
If that happens, is the Republican Party headed for a major split?
