December 23, 2020 Gear Review This new Fossil smartwatch just passed through the FCC Fossil, one of the best known makers of Wear OS watches, is planning for an all-new watch based on the latest FCC filings. Hawk-eyed industry experts spotted the filing, showing that the watch will include 5G LTE connectivity, which would be a big step for Fossil development. Unfortunately, there's not too much more that can be gleaned from the FCC paperwork, other than some screenshots of the menu and the fact that the watch may end up using an older chip. Regardless, it shows that 5G tech is quickly becoming the standard for new smart devices. There's no word on when the new line of Fossil watches will release. Hopefully, we'll see it sometime in early to mid-2021.
