The same thing applies to investing.  Industries and even individual stocks go through cycles, sometimes driven by internal changes, but often driven by the investors, who tend to have a love/hate relationship with most companies. They’re driven to crazy heights in amorous fits, then hated them as they’re sold off. The biggest stocks in history didn't just enjoy one good run and then plateau. They rose, they fell. They came around again. There's a method to a stock's life cycle – a history; data to study; little known signs of an ebb and flow – that can help predict its subsequent rise.
