Jan 15, 2021     White House Watch Squad members take over House committees Image Source: Yahoo News   The so-called Squad members have been picked to serve on key house committees, according to a spokesperson for Nancy Pelosi.   AOC and Rashida Tlaib each snagged a seat on the House Financial Services Committee, while Ayanna Pressley will join the House Oversight and Reform Committee.    Pelosi, 80, has been accused by many within the Democratic Party of ignoring younger members and refusing to invest in future leaders for the party.   But based on veiled comments from Pelosi, it seems that she doesn't believe that the policies endorsed by the Squad would be good for the future of the Democratic Party.   For Pelosi, it's about protecting the establishment from up-and-coming socialists who could completely derail the party without proper guidance.   However, putting someone like AOC on the finance committee seems like a pretty stupid move, given her complete ignorance of how finance actually works. Image Source: Politico   Biden's transition team is working with Twitter to set up the new @POTUS account, and they've already started whining.   Members of the president-elect's team claim that Twitter is mistreating him by resetting the Twitter followers to zero rather than transfer over the ones from Trump's account.   "They are advantaging President Trump's first days of the administration over ours. If we don't end the day with the 12 million followers that Donald Trump inherited from Barack Obama, then they have given us less than they gave Donald Trump, and that is a failure," said Rob Flaherty, the digital director for the Biden transition team. Twitter says it plans to archive Trump's current POTUS account and give Biden a fresh slate of followers. Maybe Biden's workers are too dumb to realize that the people following Trump most likely won't follow Ol' Joe?
