BTC has been making big moves, surpassing $40,000 yesterday.
Tesla shares were also on the up and up in the premarket today, as the company's CEO surpassed Amazon's Jeff Bezos as the planet's most wealthy person.
Meanwhile, the December jobs report is out today (more on that, below), and the gains are expected to be a mere fraction of November's 245,000 additional payrolls.
And in Washington, President Donald Trump conceded the election while House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer discussed invoking the 25th amendment.
Finally, the pandemic continues to rage on, with more than 4,000 deaths recorded yesterday alone.

Some economists anticipated an additional 50,000 payrolls were added last month, while others warned that a decline was also possible as the pandemic continued to surge.
"I think it's 50/50 whether it's going to be up 50,000 or down 50,000," said MUFG Union Bank Chief Financial Economist Chris Rupkey. "We're kind of on the knife's edge between creating additional jobs and the recovery falling back a step."
Much of the recovery on this front hinges on vaccine distribution and additional stimulus.
"We're not completely out of the woods, but better days are ahead," Rupkey said.
