The good news is that there were two Democrats who actually voted against her. Three others voted "present" instead of casting a ballot for or against her.
And none of the dissenters were members of The Squad that's been whining so much lately...
Ultimately, there were only 8 votes separating Pelosi from the Republican contender, McCarthy.
And Biden was very quick to offer her congratulations, while lauding her as a "trailblazing leader."
And this is what she'll be busy trailblazing Congress to do:
"Indeed, the pandemic has pulled back the curtain and shown even worsened disparities in our economy and our society," said Pelosi in the speech. "We must pursue justice: Economic justice, justice in health, racial justice, environmental and climate justice, the list goes on. Every morning in this chamber, we take a pledge: One nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."
Will this fourth stint be Pelosi's last as Speaker of the House? Who Doesn't Want Massive Revenue & Enormous Dividends?
