Dec 28, 2020 Daily DC Insider Image Source: NBC News President Donald Trump signed the infamous $910 billion stimulus package into law on Sunday night, enacting a much-needed round of bailout packages to small businesses and Americans hit by the pandemic's economic damage.
But Trump is calling on congressional leaders to pass additional $2000 checks per individual to help struggling Americans. The president signed the bill as it is now to prevent a government shutdown and to make sure Americans got something instead of nothing.
If voters are looking to place blame, they should put it at the feet of congressional leaders. If Congress did its job in the first place, we wouldn't be in this situation.
The American people should be insulted that their government values them at $600 per person while it hands out billions to foreign governments.
