But it finally got so bad that even outlets like CNN could no longer ignore it.   Or how about when news channels like MSNBC and CNN argued that protests were peaceful as entire neighborhoods burned to the grown on live television?   And how the media initially downplayed the developing pandemic, only to reverse course and cause widespread panic, definitely makes this year's Top 20 list.   Those are just the tip of the iceberg, so be sure to check out the full list here! Instead, they went straight to their mayor. In the end, the competition ended up benefiting essential workers in the local area.
