December 22, 2020 Market News 2020 Explorer recalled for the tenth time The 2020 Ford Explorer has only been out for a single model year, but it's now facing its tenth official recall. Its counterpart, the Lincoln Aviator, now faces its sixth recall. While the latest number of vehicles impacted by the recall is small, it marks a dark milestone in the short history of the new Explorer. And Ford has finally admitted that the launch of the 2020 Ford Explorer was anything but smooth. This time, Ford discovered a problem with engine mounts that could fail prematurely. Ford either has a severe design problem, or they need to fix a significant supplier issue.
