Now, let's dig in! Image Source: CNBC.com The stock market was buoyed Tuesday by continued stimulus talks and the vaccine rollout in the U.S.
"There's been a tug of war between the vaccine news and the virus news. The only tiebreak that's kept the averages on their way higher seems to be the potential for getting stimulus out of gridlock," said National Securities Chief Market Strategist, Art Hogan. "It certainly feels like one of the proposals that's on the table...can go through."
That optimism pushed the Dow Jones Industrial Average higher today, increasing over 330 points. That's more than 1%. The S&P 500 and the Nasdaq Composite also rose today—1.2% and .9% respectively.
The virus stimulus talks most recently culminated in two bills—one with the greenlight measures that most agree on, the other with the topics of more heated discussion. The popular $748 billion plan calls for more unemployment benefits and additional PPP funding. The unpopular bill contains disagreements like liability for businesses and more money for local and state governments.

And since we all ultimately turn into our fathers (or mothers) I guess now it's my turn to stand here and say it…
Now, unlike Mitch McConnell, I have no intention of updating a single word in my welcome letter until January 6th (at the very earliest) or January 20th, at the very latest.
I've made it pretty clear that I'm still holding out hope for a Hail Mary that stops that proverbial "Fat Lady" from singing.
I've spent the last few years of the Trump presidency working as an advocate of his message, his agenda and what he represented for the American people.
But as we face the very real possibility of an administration change, I have to decide on how we should go forward with our newsletter coverage, and I was hoping that you - as my faithful reader - could help steer our direction for 2021. Take a look and vote for your favorite(s) or feel free to just reply back and share your own original idea or suggestion:
