Now, let's dig in! Image Source: CNBC Despite a less-than-stellar November jobs report, the market still saw advances today. The Dow Jones Industrial Average and the S&P 500 increased .7%, while the Nasdaq Composite climbed .5%. Today's gains contributed to another positive week for all three averages, marking the fourth week of good news in a row.
The November employment data reflected 245,000 new jobs versus the projected 440,000, but some investors took this as a good sign.
"[Today's report] is beckoning lawmakers to act on additional fiscal stimulus measures in order to bridge the output gap in the economy until a vaccine is deployed and the longer they hold out the wider the gap may become," said Charlie Ripley of Allianz Investment Management.
Joe Biden, however, indicated that the data released today indicates a "dark winter," and that "[Americans] would be better if they had the $1,200."
What other developments were investors paying careful attention to today?

Image Source: The Allergic Pagan Fox News is the home network for Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity. They both represent what we would call the "old base" of Fox News. And if you take a look at Fox News ratings, you know that these two have always been the network's bread and butter.
So, it probably seems a little strange to you when the same network that profits from Carlson and Hannity has another host, Griff Jenkins, supposedly "debunked" the widely circulated video of election officials clearing the room, then continuing to process votes after poll watchers have left the building. You know, the one with the suitcases.
And as more videos break, it certainly looks like that's how they were run in a lot of places.
But that doesn't make it business as usual.
