| | Wednesday, August 05, 2020 | | | Dear Startup Investor,
Last week, CEOs from four of the country's Big Tech corporations - Facebook, Google, Amazon, and Apple - testified in a hearing before the House Judiciary's antitrust committee.
This hearing was part of an ongoing effort by Congress to dig into each one of these company's business practices... all to determine whether or not they wield too much power in the technology landscape.
Now, no matter what your opinion, this was a historic event.
And depending on Congress's upcoming conclusions, it could have lasting effects for companies, both big and small, in the tech world.
I'd be remiss if I didn't discuss it with you. After all, we're neck-deep in the tech biz here, and it'll be interesting to see how these developments affect startups looking to get in the game and be successful.
So today, I'll be discussing the purpose of antitrust laws in the United States and how they've been enforced in the past.
But more importantly, I'd like to talk about three different outcomes that could come from this hearing and investigation... and exactly what each one means for the startup world.
Stick with me here. This is a long one... but it's important to understand this news and how you can play it well into the future.
Just click here to find out why.
Until next time,
Neil |
