Since today is Memorial Day, I want to take this time to honor the thousands of soldiers who have given their lives to keep America (and other parts of the world) free.

And this year, I'm also very grateful to the service members who are supporting local authorities in the fight against COVID-19.

Despite the hostile political climate and the constant warring we see on the nightly news, let's not lose sight of the fact that we still live in a pretty amazing place. This was made possible by brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.

Their selflessness is staggering.

And to all of the men and women who have served in the past or are in uniform today, thank you. Your sacrifice, bravery and hard work are deeply appreciated.

I wish you all a meaningful Memorial Day.
