| | Good morning. Natural gas futures hit an all-time low in Asia, as fears of the coronavirus are likely to impact energy demand there during the Northern hemisphere's winter season.
That's bad news for the energy sector, including the United States. In the past, natural gas could only be shipped by pipeline, but over the past few years the technology to liquefy and send natural gas anywhere in the world via tanker has come into operation. For heavily leveraged American energy companies hoping for foreign demand, this is one more troubling sign for the shale space this year.
