Aug 9, 2021 Big Tech Update Just last month, reports surfaced of malicious Pegasus spyware infecting thousands of iPhones and iPads of journalists, politicians, and activists. The spyware can be installed remotely without the device's owner being aware, and it gives the person who installed it full access to the device and all of its data.
Now reports indicate that the malicious spyware is being found on the iPads and iPhones of other people, regardless of their job title. This means your text messages, emails, and other private data can all be accessed if your Apple device is infected with the spyware.
What's even more concerning, Pegasus spyware can actually allow hackers to access and record your phone calls. The software was originally created to track criminals and terrorists, but has since become a hacker's dream for collecting private data from others.
What else do you need to know about the Pegasus spyware? And how can you tell if your iPhone or iPad is infected? Find out here for free. Image source: Digital Trends
