I had a challenging conversation with a friend recently.
I won't share the whole story, but her son is struggling with some addiction issues, and he's lost some friends to the battle.
That's truly sad.
This has been the worst year ever for overdoses in America, for pretty obvious reasons, I think.
Why am I mentioning this?
It's not to bring anybody down.
It's actually to encourage you that I think having purpose in life is so important.
Young people have been locked inside for a year. They don't have kids and marriages to take care of, and lots of them don't have jobs to work at.
They look for distractions, and a lot of times, they find them in the wrong places.
So what's the solution?
I honestly believe trading can be part of it.
Trading gives folks a purpose and something to focus on. I teach my kids how to do it. I know Rob does, too. And I hope we all can learn to do that with our kids and grandkids.
It's so important to give people purpose. I hope these lockdowns will all be over soon, but in the meantime, we've gotta stay sane!
So teach them something. Maybe start with Rob's strategies! Whatever you need to do, make sure you're doing something.
