The Pfizer-BioNTech coronavirus vaccine was 95% effective in trials and displayed no major side effects, according to company officials. An outside panel gave the vaccine a thumbs up, the final step before FDA officials determine whether to approve an emergency use authorization.   "I want to make it clear to the public – we should have confidence in this,..There is no political influence. These are first rate scientists taking their time and looking at all of the elements that need to be looked at.
