JP Morgan analysts are focusing on Australian lithium stocks.
"The land down under" is the world's leading producer of lithium. And the country produces over 40,000 metric tons of lithium per year.
Here's what the analysts told clients...
"The lithium commodity complex is one of the few where there is meaningful upside likely over the medium term, given the strong demand backdrop."
That's Wall Street talk that basically means...
Lithium prices could rise significantly because of huge demand for EV batteries.
JP Morgan expects that the price of lithium will rise 19% annually for the next 10-years. And the primary reason is due to demand for electric vehicles and battery storage devices.
This isn't just a near term issue...
Demand for lithium will exceed the supply until at least 2030. That means this is a long-term growth opportunity — and it's still in the early innings.
