The auto sector is not looking back. Stocks like Tesla have been setting new highs for months. But now the party is really starting as members of the old guard like General Motors (NYSE: GM) and Ford Motor Company (NYSE: F) join in.
Ford and General Motors have set 52-week highs in 2021, with Ford hitting a new high today. How are War Room members doing with this rally? I'll get into that in a minute. First, let's talk about why this sector could go even higher!
Three words: stimulus, stimulus, stimulus.
Folks, when you are throwing money and tax deductions at people, they will spend the money and take the deductions. Factor in some extra buying from the city dwellers moving to the burbs en masse and you've got the makings of a sustainable move higher.

Ford is winding down its operations in Brazil. This could just be the beginning of rationalization at the automaker - something investors have been waiting on forever. Ford never made a dime in South America but spent billions trying. Now those funds can be directed into competing for new technology as opposed to new markets. The shares have a way to go to catch up with the performance of other automakers, and now we are using a "cheap" LEAPS trade to bet on a turnaround under the new CEO.
