When I was in my 20s, I connected with Adam Hewison, a successful trader who had worked on the floor of the NYMEX, managed a hedge fund in Switzerland, wrote two trading guides, and developed a fax advisory service (I think I'm dating myself). Hewison launched INO.com in the early '90s and also developed a profitable trend-following strategy for his personal and professional investing. The thing is, he was still using pen and paper to work out his calculations.
