Now, let's dig in! Image Source: CNBC Investors were poring over a ton of information today, considering progress on fiscal stimulus, the Federal Reserve's announcement, and a less-than-stellar retail report.
As they did, stocks saw slight increases, with the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq Composite climbing .4% and .7% respectively. The Dow Jones Industrial Average increased .1%.
The Federal Reserve announced today that, each month, it will buy $120 billion in bonds.
Meanwhile, November's retail sales report was released by the Commerce Department today, and that data was disappointing. Economists anticipated a .3% dip, not a 1.1.% decline.
Ally Invest Chief Investment Strategist Lindsey Bell said, "Stimulus remains a key focus for the market, as it is the necessary bridge to expansive vaccinations. Market participants would like to see a deal sooner rather than later given the expectation for economic data to slow near-term. In the absence of a deal, turbulence could pick up."

Now, it's Cuomo's turn to eat his words.
In case you forgot, back during the Kavanaugh confirmation hearings and the weeks leading up to them, there were some unfounded accusations thrown around. After copious investigations, they were found to be baseless.
When it was going on, Governor Cuomo called for now-Justice Kavanaugh to submit to a polygraph test to "prove" his innocence. Now the shoe is on the other foot...
