| Different Chart Patterns Reveal More Trading Opportunities | | Chart patterns come in all shapes and sizes. However, some unusual patterns can make consistent profits, particularly for those making short-term trades.
These types of trades come under a variety of names. One such chart pattern, which doesn't look like much at first, is called an ABCD pattern.
Divided into four steps, it shows traders short-term profit opportunities that may just look like gibberish on a stock chart to others.
Trades such as this, as well as flag patterns and cup and handle patterns, often appear over very short periods of time—often within the same day or less.
These patterns can appear over longer periods of time, but once you know how to recognize them, you'll start to find them all the time.
While these patterns are a bit more complex than gap patterns, continuation or consolidation patterns, they can provide consistent profits, particularly when looking for day trading opportunities.
